Time to update!

So sorry for the delay in updating.
What have I been up to? Well, opening a studio, and I must say that was not a easy as it seemed to be before we started (ha, ha, ha). I have needed a good place to meet with clients, either before or after sessions. I thought back in November it would be a easy fast project. I could not have been more mistaken. It was fun and extremely rewarding. I had to redo everything, from bedrooms to bathrooms to curtains. All the little details I had to get done by Jan 22nd. We moved all the boys into the master bedroom and they love it. We have out up a few really fun swings and ropes for them to play with. They now have their own bathroom. Chad and I painted and decorated our bedroom! It is really nice to have a room that is not white! We repainted the playroom and took out most of their toys. Repainted the office to make it look more office like and painted all the bathrooms. The past month we have all been so sick and just keep passing it back and forth, not fun at all. This is one of the first of what I hope to make regular updates to. We are starting the alphabet meals again, I know we took a few weeks off
but it is something we all really enjoyed and well it would be a good project for the kids to complete.
Here are some photos of my home studio/office
Now here are some photos of the boys room. This is not what it looks like now, I will update but thought people might like to see how cool it is! This was my big gift for the boys for Christmas!

Wow, it has been a while from the last post. I think with all the holiday activities it has been a non-stop ride. Today we are painting the boys room, going Christmas shopping, going to a birthday party and then capping the night off with a holiday party.
This year for Christmas we decided on home made gifts. Every year we over do it with what is “on sale” and get toys that they don’t need or really play with too much. So this year we decided on making them something. This is a bit more difficult than one would think. I decided on putting swings in their room and along with that Chad and I are painting their room with Castles and knights and dragons and volcanoes. I will take pics when it is all finished.
With all the talking I do about letting “your” kids help with cooking and such I needed to find something that they could do in their room. We decided on outlining their bodies as knights and then having them paint in the outlines. Rocco can’t but they can help with his
I will be posting our progress on this project as it comes along!
Thanksgiving 2010

in thanksgiving
we had been wanting to make our LA trip and annual thing for the Valentine’s, but Rocco had to meet with his neurologist the day before Thanksgiving. This would have put a little bit more of a time cramp on everything. Next year Gia we are coming over! And going to the beach! It was a great meal, I got a smoked turkey from Honey Ham (the best ever), mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, jello, and more. It was really a great meal. The boys helped out a lot in the kitchen or I should say Aiden and Preston
Here are some of the photos we took.
The start of all the Holidays

in day to day
I have been thinking this week about being a “Holiday Relative” I have a few thoughts on this now that I have given myself some time to think about it. As the Holidays roll around you do end up thinking more about family. More about the family that won’t and can’t spend Holidays with us any more. Maybe as a society we have become Holiday Families. Where we spend most of our time with friends and then at the end of the year two times a year we decided that during the most important days we get together and spend it together. Maybe it is not an insult but an honor that we make time to spend it together…. It still hurts for me to only be a Holiday family member, but at least I get those few days.
I don’t always think about my Dad but on May 9th (his birthday) and during these days of the Holidays I really miss him. And so I am thinking that I do love the Holidays because they make us remember and spend time with people that have been on our journey with us through our lives. The ones that will always be there for us no matter what.
So tomorrow I will do a Thanksgiving post and to all of us that are spending time with Family, remember they did choose to be with us too! Enjoy one another!
Sorry about Yesterday!

Holiday Family

This is a term I use for how I feel treated by a few of my family members. Where it is only continent to stop by and eat my food over the Holidays. I don’t like it and I don’t want to feed those family members that only bother to stop by for a free meal and don’t help with cooking or cleaning. I have a big enough family and don’t need more work. If you want to come for a free meal, HELP OUT!
As you can tell, it has not been a good day for me. Happy post coming tomorrow!
